MACHU end Symposium in The Netherlands (4th of June)


The Machu Project is in its last year. Started in 2006 on 1st of September 2009 the pilot project will end. One of the main products of MACHU is the MACHU GIS. The GIS is actually in the air and running already. The end symposium will be held in Amersfoort The Netherlands were results and products of MACHU will be presented to partners, stakeholders and the general public.
One of the main products of MACHU is a central GIS viewer were relevant information concerning Underwater Cultural Heritage (UCH) is to be found. And most important; the information on wrecks and sites is described in standarized formats.

Also research - and legislative information are vissible. Creating in this way a powerfull tool for decisionmakers & scientist who want and have to consider UCH in decisions, for instance in planning Infrastrucutral project of shore.
Information about wrecks and sites, research, national & international legislation say from Polish or Swedish UCH are in English and in a standarized output presented in the MACHU GIS viewer. Making communication about UCH easy and international.
